The lake level is 554.90 and has risen 2-feet in the last 24-hours with no current generation. I dumped 4-inches out of my rain gauge last evening and the creeks were running hard and the brown water was almost out to the entrance of the main lake and well past my dock. Pigeon Creek was brown by the Hwy 201 bridge with debris floating as far as you could see. I do not know what is coming down from Missouri. The creeks have quit running but the lake is rising an inch an hour. We did not receive any severe weather here but it was abundant other places in Arkansas and Springdale got hit hard. It is cold and breezy now with a freeze warning for tonight. It is supposed to get into the 60's tomorrow but I will believe it when I see it. As I have said many times before, I want march to go away. This is not what we needed going into april but it was predictable. If we were at 547in the winter instead of 553 we would still be in the power pool and still in good shape going into spring. Now we are another big rain away from problems. They seem to like to keep us in that position for a reason nobody knows. They used to draw down in the winter a few years ago but refuse to do it now but you cannot expect much from anything run by the government and we certainly do not get much that is for sure. I have to go down and move my dock and will check water temperature. Stay tuned. The grass is sure growing and flowers blooming. I do not like fishing brown water but where it transitions from brown to clear. It is good the bass and crappie are not on their beds yet with the quickly rising water. Maybe things will stabilize. The White River at Newport is 18.76 feet so they can let out more if they want to up to 21-feet. That changes april 15th. Do not expect any wade fishing on the rivers anytime soon.
