Mike Eakle with some good ones caught yesterday on Blackburns brush piles on the spoon right on the bottom. 
The lake level is 552.51 and is the same as this time yesterday with about 4-hours of generation. The White River at Newport is at 9-feet and there is no sign of any effort to drop the area lakes for the winter. The surface water temperature is just under 46 degrees in this area and you can see your lure down about 4-5 feet. It was a nice day yesterday with ambient temperatures in the early 50's with light wind. Everybody that I talked to caught fish. Bink is still catching all kinds of temperate bass in Big creek and we are catching ours near Blackburns on Brush using the spoon and green grub near the bank. Today looks to be even a better day before the weather comes in bringing a cold front and mixed precipitation. Rain, then ice and then snow. Thursday looks to be the worst day and then a cold weekend. The track is not for sure but we will get something just keep away the ice. The cold front is bringing the coldest temperatures of the season. We have avoided most bad weather this winter with just a couple of light snows but much better than last year with the shad kill and the ice on the creeks. Hopefully that will not happen again. I will keep you posted. My friend Dave Gentry (AKA Diver Dave) died yesterday. He introduced me to lake diving and trained me in open water, advanced diving and rescue. He will be missed. Much fun was had at his dive shop in Henderson. He was just here a few days ago. It has been a tough winter for my long time friends with several now gone in the last few months.
