The lake level is 557.92 and has dropped 2-inches in the last 24-hours with much less generation. The surface water temperature is 87-degrees and the main lake is clear near the surface and cloudy a few feet below and the creeks are stained a little green. The lake is in very good condition for boating, swimming and fishing with most day use areas back to normal. Swim beaches are open in Bidwell, Panther Bay and Cranfield along with most camping sites. Some camping and beach services do not have all facilities restored completely but it is much better than just a few days ago. Parking and launching are normal and need to be if the town traffic is any indication of the upcoming boat traffic. If you are planning on fishing get out there at dawn and fish until the traffic gets too bad on the lake. Do not count on being able to go out in the evening until Monday when they start to go home. Every thing that will float will be out there starting today and the boats are getting bigger and bigger. Have a lot of patience at the launch sites Saturday morning. We could get some weather Saturday night and Sunday and it is to get hot. It will not be condusive to tent camping. Almost everyone is full so there will be no place to go if you get rained out. I hope everyone has a good time and gets through this safely. Fishing is the same.
