Norfork Lake fishing and lake conditions by Scuba Steve from Blackburns Resort and Boat rental (click here for comments)

The lake level is 571.19 and has dropped 1-3/4 inches in the last 24-hours with generation about 60% of the time. They are holding the White River at Newport at below 12-feet despite the dry conditions. The lake is clearing already after the churning on the extended weekend. It will be fine in a couple of days. It is to get hot starting tomorrow and will be typical July weather. The lake surface water temperature is in the mid 80's and the normal ambient high is 89 degrees and we will be ahead of that for the next several days with just a little chance of pop up showers in the heat of the day. Blackburns is full of nice people and it looks to be a good week. Only one more holiday to go and then the fishermen can have the lake back. The lake is getting busier and busier every year and the boats are getting bigger and bigger.
