The lake level is 558.01 and has risen 4-1/2 feet in the last five days and one foot yesterday. They quit generating last evening and just started again. They have generated two hours since noon yesterday. The level continues to raise when they quit generating and is about steady now when they do. It will go up more with rain scheduled for tonight and tomorrow. All of this could have been eliminated or slowed way down by just drawing the level down to the 540's in the winter. The operation rules need to be reviewed and changed but fat chance of that. It was warm and windy yesterday and it helped the drying process. Blackburns Creek and the ones around here have cleared already and you can see your lure down several feet now but that changes almost daily. The creeks have quit running and the water running yesterday was clear. The surface water temperature is in the early 50's and about normal for the middle of March. I did not fish yesterday but just went out for a bit to check out lake conditions. All of the fishermen here were out and I did not talk to them yet. I cannot speak for the north part of the lake but the conditions around here are good. The weather for the latter part of the week looks good but cooler. The grass is green and about ready to mow and the Bradford Pears are ready to bloom.
