If you see yourself on here make a comment. All of these fish were caught close to Blackburn's Dock in the last few days. 
The lake was stained green when I went out yesterday and the surface temperature was 85 degrees with a level of 565.54 now and a drop of 3-inches from the day before. You could see your lure down a little less than three feet. The thermocline is less than 30 feet now and should not drop much further. It rarely gets below 32 feet. The fish that I am catching now are either right on the bank or near the bottom at 25-27 feet. The ones on the bank are on the inside of main lake points and the others are right on the points at that depth range near any structure. At this rate of level drop Blackburns Brush piles shoul be back in play in three weeks and fishing should be really good. I will be fishing brush piles exclusively then with the Bink's spoon. After that I will include slip float with minnows and the Bobby Garland Baby Shad blue Ice in color. I will use the little grub casting it over the brush and letting it sink slowly when it is windy and right down in the brush with the live minnows when I can stay right over the brush. I know where the walleye, crappie and bass will be as the lake approaches normal level. I had some guests catch some nice catfish on jugs and trot lines this weekend on lice perch. Tom Kelly is catching bass and crappie on Float Creek with his worm and spoon. Mike Eakle is on the walleye on main lake points on the Bink's Many Shad 1/2 ounce spoon in 23-28 feet of water. Bink is out with some Blackburns guests today and we will see how he does. He has been catching some good ones regularly including temperate Bass or what I call red meat fish. Bluegill are biting well on crickets and worms off docks and near willows on the main lake. Fishing is not the best now but is getting better and will continue to do so until the lake turns sometime in October for several days and then get good again. The turn will not stop the bite, just slow it down and scatter the fish. It will be improtant to know where the cover is at the right depth then. Come on down to Blackburns.
