Norfork Lake fishing and lake conditions by Scuba Steve from Blackburns Resort and Boat rental (click here for comments)

The lake level is 570.74 and has dropped 2-1/2 inches in the last 24-hours. They are in a pattern now of shutting down all generation at night and starting it back up in the morning and keeping the White River at Newport at 12-feet at all costs. That way they can keep the area lakes as high as possible for as long as possible. At this rate if will be at 563 by Labor day Weekend if it does not rain and we have not had much of that. Not much else has changed except the bass fishing has gotten better. People report catching several good bass on main lake points at about 20-feet with a few walleye thrown in. The are using plastic worms and jigs. The lake surface temperature is still in the high 80's with the lake in excellent condition for boating and swimming and Blackburns still has the best prices on both cabins and boats and the biggest pool with slide. All cabins have covered porches and  are individual with no duplexes. We have 300-Meg wireless internet and are closest to Mountain Home, dining and shopping. Come on down. We will not charge you too much.
