The lake level is 560.68 and has dropped less than 1-inch in the last 24-hours with generation continuous but sometimes dropping to one generator. I caught more white bass and small stripers in 70-ft. of water 40-50 ft. down with the 1/2 ounce spoon but decided to try crappie and basss fishing again. It was in the 40's with light rain and then the sun came out. I caught some pretty good crappie on the grub and minnow on a new brush pile in 25ft. of water 12-feet down. Fishing is picking up a bit but some people that have been here since last friday caught their first fish today and that is not very good. They wanted stripers but had to settle for some crappie. They said they could catch crappie anywhere but it took them a while to find these.  The white bass are small but some pretty good bass are near the bank. It is hard to find a keeper striper but that should pick up soon.  Surface temperature is 46+ and the lake is trying to clear but is slow doing so.  Normal ambient high is 52 and it is struggling to get there. It is ok as long as the wind is low. it is nice to just be out there.
