The lake level is 557.48 and has risen 5-1/2 inches in the last 24-hours.  They have shut the one spillway gate but still have both generators running. We have received over 2-1/2 inches of rain in the last two days and it is raining right down now. The creeks were running heavily yesterday morning and are still running but not as fast.  I did not go fishing yesterday but several of us went out Monday and caught some nice fish. The surface temperature is still in the high 40's.  We were mostly fishing the Float creek area but Bink reports people catching red meat fish in Bennetts. I do not fish that area much because the crappie are smaller there than here but it is a good place especially in the spring. The visibility is often not the best there for diving until fall.  I do not go farther than I have to but often do not have to go more than 1/2 mile. The open water fish are shallower early, feed and then go to about 60-feet of water 50-feet down. It is to be cool for the next couple of days and then warm up a bit. I will let you know what is happening. I have a lot of good eyes out there. We are getting a lot of reservations now so give Debbie a call to reserve the cabin and boat of your choice and prevent disappointment. We will not charge you too much and your first regular sized boat stall is free. Our new brush piles are holding a lot of fish.
