The lake level is 558.68 and has dropped a little over three inches in the last 24-hours with both generators still running and two spillway gates at one foot. It is down two and one half feet since it's last high a couple of weeks ago. The surface water temperature ranges from 48 to 49 depending on whether you are in the sun or not. Not much sun yesterday with a cold damp day with light rain. It is a cloudy day today also. We have been fortunate that all of the weather has kept north of us this winter and there is no frost in the ground . It is to get very warm later this weekend. The lake is very slow to clear up after the big runoff last month. I would have though it would have dropped out by now. You have to go to about Robinson Point to find clear water and it is not nearly as clear as normal, what ever that is. Fishing goes from fair to poor for brush fishing but is much better for open water fishing after you find them. They are still at about 50-feet no matter the depth of the water. The size is not the best though but good numbers. Release the fish and let them get bigger. They grow very fast. The 1/2 ounce white spoon is the best. Crappie and bass fishing is fair but some big ones are coming in. Call and get your reservations in to get the cabin and boat of your choice. It looks to be a good year for fishing and boating. We will not charge you too much and your first boat stall is free.
