Bink with a good one,Image title

The lake level is 553.66 and is exactly what it was at this time yesterday with very little generation. They always quit generating when rain is in the forecast so they can maximize the effects of the rain to keep the level up as high as possible. We are to get quite a bit of rain Thursday night through Saturday. They have had all fall and winter to drop the lake but show no signs of doing so. Bad management. I wish they held an elective office and had accountability. I went fishing with Bink again yesterday and we had a great time. The weather was perfect with highs near 60 and light winds. The surface temperature was just above 50 and the lake is clearing and you could see your lure down about 4-5 feet.  We went to Big Creek and fished brush piles with good success. We caught largemouth, kentucky, crappie, bluegill and Warmouth all on his spoons. The grubs did not work well.  The big bass were caught on the larger 1/2 ounce spoon and the crappie were caught on the 1/4 and 3/8 ounce ones. I was using a white with black back and he was using white with red throat. We were fishing Game and Fish brush piles and they were good ones. We caught big bass but most of them were throw backs. About a 3-1 ratio. We caught seven keeper fish and about 20-smaller ones. The larger fish came out of the deeper brush from 30-35 feet and almost all were caught on the drop. We saw one other boat. My turn to take him next time. I learn everytime I fish with him.
