The lake level is 554.06 and they have started two generators for the last few hours and the level has actually dropped a little. It is the first time both generators have run for about six months. It was windy yesterday and more windy today. The surface temperature is right at 51 degrees. The wind was coming from the west and was swirling and hard to get out of. The bass fishing slowed a bit but the crappie have picked up. Big ones too. Bass, crappie, blurgill and a few walleye are what is biting best. The trollers are catching a few red meat fish on umbrellas but few are even 10-lbs. They are thinning them out. The lake is stained just right for fishing and is overall in good condition. Some nice fish are being brought in every day. Spooning, slip float with minnows, and grubs are the best bait. Deeper brush in the 30+ feet range is producing good bass and some of the time they are right beside the brush and not right in it. Several are hitting the spoon on the drop near the bottom. We are all fishing within 1/2 mile of Blackburns creek. No need to go further. Come on down.  We will not charge you too much and are open all year. Your first boat stall is free.
