The lake level is rising with very little generation and they are lowering the White River at Newport and it is now at 16-ft.+.The lake level is now 553.89 and the surface termperature is 52 degrees and also rising. The water clarity is still the same and you can see your lure down about 3-4 feet depending on the degree of sunshine. I saw two other boats out there yesterday and it was very warm. The fish were biting as soon as I went out about 2:30Pm and continued until 4:pm and then they shut down.  I caught several very large crappie and a couple of keeper bass along with several throw backs. One crappie was giant (over 16 inches) picture to follow. I have now caught 30-crappie over 15-inches this winter.  We have several good fishermen coming in today and we will see what they do. One day the fishing is very good and the next slow but I am seldom shut out. This is my time to catch large fish. Come on down.  We will not charge you too much and your first boat stall is free. We are open all year and are here now. I am fishing with Bink's Guide service today and you can hear his radio program on KTLO 97.9 Live in the Boat at 8:45 this morning. It is on every Thursday.  We will see how a professional does it. He is a good fisherman and I like his new Ranger Boat.
