It was cool when I went out there yesterday and I saw no other boats all the time I was out. The surface water temperature was 52.5 and the clarity was not bad. You could see your lure down about 5-feet. They are dropping the lake fast and it has dropped about 7-inches in the last 24-hours and is at 555.08 and has dropped over 5-feet since last month. Despite the full moon and the water dropping fishing was not too bad. I went crappie fishing and caught several. Some were pretty big. I caught some on slip float with minnow and some casting the small grub over brush. Blackburns brush piles are at perfect depths now and are holding fish. I only can catch about 2-fish on each one and then they quit and I move. There was no wind and it was easy to stay right on top of them. There were some fish coming up on shad in about 50-ft. of water and I dropped a spoon on them but they were just small stripers and white bass. They were out in front of the docks off Mallard point.  The seagulls have been back for a while and it makes it easier for red meat fishermen to find fish. If you depent on them you will be out of luck when they migrate in a few weeks. There are lots of shad and not all of the schools are holding fish. Look for dots and slashing lines on your locator and not black blobs. The crappie are over brush about 10-feet down. I am catching a few bass but not a lot.  Most are still in open water on shad. Good weather for the next few days. Come on down. We will not charge you too much for cabins and nothing for your first boat stall. You can have free gas on what you can save by staying here unless you just want to pay too much. Several places are closed.
