The lake level is still rising with no rain for over a week and no generators running.  They do have three spillway gates open 1-ft. which equals about 1/4 of a generator. They are also holding the White River at Newport at below 12-feet to keep the lakes up as much as possible. It should be at 21-feet.  The level is now 558.07. It is time to impeach the Corps of Engineers for incompetence. It was a good day for fishing yesterday. I only caught bass and crappie but it was all I was fishing for.  I was hoping for a walleye but got none. I used the 1/4 ounce spoon exclusively on brush in 18-25 feet. Four keeper bass and several crappie were caught and released. It was about 60-degrees with light wind and the surface temperature was 58 degrees. The lake is clearing nicely and is very clear near the shore. It is another beautiful day today and it is almost time to go. I did see a few boats. The good striper fishermen are catching fish but others are catching none. It is to remain warm but there are good chances of rain for the next several days. Come on down. We will not charge you too much and your first boat stall is free.
