The lake level is 556.67 and has dropped a little over one inch in the last 24-hours with very little generation. We are about 4-1/2 feet higher than we should be this time of year which is 552. It is at a good level for fishing and boating. the weather is very nice. You need a heavy coat early in the morning. Shirt sleeves in the afternoon and a jacket in the evening with a daily temperature range from 30's to the 70's. The water is still stained in the creeks and the main lake is getting clearer after the turnover. Crappie are on main lake brushpiles, walleye are on main lake points in 20-25 feet of water and catfish are biting perch on jugs. Striper fishing is slow and I still have not seen any white bass. Bass fishing is pretty good in about 15-20 feet of water on grubs and plastice worms. Bink's 1/4 ounce spoons are working for about anything in the brush. Fishing is getting better and better as it always does in the last of October and up into early December. I will let you know about the after dark bite for stripers and hybrids. If it happens it will be about the 12th of November.  The fall foliage is not looking very good so far but that could change. Only the road ways have color now. Come on down.  We will not charge you too much. Only $59/day for a one bedroom cabin with 2,3 and 4 bedrooms priced accordinly. Free stall for your boat and we have several bass and fishing pontoons for rent.
