The lake level is 557.70 and rising just a bit with very little generation. It rained a little over 2-inches in a two day period and the creeks run hard for a while. We were very dry. Everything is very green again and the grass is growing. There is little sign of any fall foliage color. The level of the White River at Newport is 11.2 feet for some stupid reason. Hold and hope is their motto and keeping the level up is their game. At least the level is good for right now for fishing and boating. I went out for a few minutes this morning and caught a few off crappie rock with the grub and minnow. Fishing in the morning and diving in the afternoon. Things are tough.  It was cool and rainy almost all day yesterday but is sunny and beautiful today and for the next several days. Come on down and we will not charge you too much. Your first boat stall is free and we are open all year.
