The lake level is 565.41 and continues to drop a little over 2-inches/24 hour period with a little more than 1/2 the time generating. The creeks are clearing up a bit and the surface temperature is back to near 90 with the hot weather. There are still a lot of fish at or near the thermocline which is still less than 30-feet. Visibility is still about 5-6 feet. Spoons are working the best now for both the 30-ft. fish and the 60-70 foot fish. Just use a bigger one for the deep fish. Catfish are starting to bite again and bluegill are biting crickets. Bass fishing is slow except for the after dark salt craws. I am seeing a few bass coming up in the evening. I wish people would quit killing all of those deep small stripers in the 8-10 pound range. We will pay for it later. Blackburns still has two openings for the labor day holiday so give us a call before you have to pay too much elsewhere. Our big pool is waiting for you.
