Norfork Lake fishing and lake conditions by Scuba Steve from Blackburns Resort and Boat rental (click here for comments)

The lake level is 571.42 and has risen 1.2 inches in the last 24-hours with very little generation. They have also continued to run Table Rock hard with 5-flood gates open and it is now below June power pool.  This is amazing since all of this water is going into Bull Shoals and it is rising as fast as Table Rock is dropping. Things are getting serious over there. We are to get some rain tomorrow and then get clear again. The weather has been beautiful and I was surprised at the clarity of the lake after getting churned up so much over the holiday. It looks good and I am glad to get things back to normal. We did have a very good group of people in and Blackburns again keeps the title of the family place with the best price.  I am encouraging people to leave the small stripers that are deep alone.  They all die when caught and we are short of big ones. Pictures of dock floors full of dead small stripers are not impressive. We can only have so many meat humters and keep a good fish popularion.
