Norfork Lake fishing and lake conditions by Scuba Steve from Blackburns Resort and Boat rental (click here for comments)

The lake level is 569.78 and is exactly what it was at this time yesterday. A cold front is to move through today and bring rain and wind. We did not get any of yesterday's storms but are likely to get something out of this one.  It is then to clear up and get warmer. Some crappie are being caught but not a lot. Several are under Blackburns Dock along with bluegill, catfish and bass. The crappie are on brush at about 30-feet. Get out early for the top-water bass and striper part way back in the creeks. Many fish are on the old bank in front of the buckbrush with shad. People are still killing small 8-10 lb stripers and our numbers of big fish are down. Showing pictures of dock floors full of dead small stripers is not impressive.  The daily limit needs to be dropped to two for a while. Norfork lake is clearing nicely and is at a good color for fishing. We have several cabins full of repeat customers and they are all catching some fish. It looks to be a very busy Memorial day. The White River at Newport  is dropping steadily as well as the discharge and is at 20+ feet. Table Rock is being run very hard as well as spillway gates open and is filling Bull Shoals rapidly to keep Table Rock normal. Everyone is being punished to protect Branson.  Blackburns has no diminished services so come on down. We will not charge you too much.
