Norfork Lake fishing and lake conditions by Scuba Steve from Blackburns Resort and Boat rental (click here for comments)

The lake level is 569.61 and has risen about 2-inches in the last 24-hours with about 5-hours of generation. We are about 13-feet above top of power pool. Table rock continues to be generating full speed with spillway gates open and is less than 1-ft. above power pool. Bull shoals has risen 6-inches in the last 24-hours with all of the discharge from Table rock. They are 18-feet above top of power pool. The White River is now at 21+ feet at Newport and is dropping like a rock. We definitely need new lake management personnel. Branson seems to run the world. Norfork lake is clearing nicely and is at a good color for fishing. You do not want the water too clear. If it is do not go there. We have not had any rain here for about a week and it is getting dry. It is susposed to rain later this afternoon and night. The weather has been beautiful with sunny skies and temperatures in the 80's. The lake surface temperature varies a bunch but is in the mid 70's near blackburns. A few smaller stripers are being caught in the 8-10 lb. range and more white bass. Full moon is today and has slowed catfishing down quite a bit. Bass fishing continues to be pretty good with smallmouth the best. I have not been fishing for crappie.
