Norfork Lake fishing and lake conditions by Scuba Steve from Blackburns Resort and Boat rental (click here for comments)

The lake level is 569.10 and has risen 3-inches in the last 24-hours with about 4-hours of generation. Table Rock is still generating as hard as they can with spillway gates open and has dropped 3-inches in the last 24-hours and is approaching normal. The lake below Table Rock is really bearing the brunt of the unfair lake management practices and is rising quickly. They have dropped the White River at Newport to 24+ feet and are scheduled to drop it much more. We will see what happens. It all depends on how the 70% full number is calculated and it is being changed regularly. The fuller the lakes get the harder it is to drop them. The fishing remains good with a lot of fish being behind the buckbrush near the old shoreline. Bait fish are there for cover and game fish there for food. Shakey head worms, finesse worms and french fries are working for bass as well as top-water baits and other creature baits. Spoons are woorking for red meat fish in 20-ft. of water near the bottom and spooks early on top-water. I am not fishing for crappie because so many small ones are being caught. This always happens late in the spawn season when the smaller ones spawn late. The weather has been perfect for a few days now and we can take a 1-inch rain with not much problem. Blackburns has no diminished services and we will not charge you too much. Come on down and check us out. You will like what you see. Give the money you save to disabled veterans.
