Norfork Lake level is 568.87 and has risen 3-1/2 inches in the last 24-hours with 4-hours of generation. Table Rock is still running hard with 5 spillway gates open and is the only lake dropping. I guess I am the only one that has a problem with this. Hold and hope and then open the gates and let it all out. It will be ok. The White River at Newport is now at 25-feet and minor flood stage is 26-feet so do not expect much in the near future. I went fishing for a bit yesterday and caught some nice bass on the chug bug and a couple of catfish on the limb lines. A lot of bass are right in the buckbrush and are hard to get out. Shad are spawning in the buckbrush and are being chased up by about everything. Fishing overall is pretty good and about everyone are catching fish. Catfish have not spawned yet and the flatheads are the last to spawn. The ones that I am catching are all on live bluegills. When the thermocline forms many fish will be close to it. Walleye are roaming and are hit and miss. When the fry grows a bit they usually move to cover but there is lots of that now.  My brush piles are too deep now so most of them will stay in about 16-18 feet near cover just outside the old lake bank. Just work the bank part way back in the creeks and look for shad surfacing.
