The lake level is 554.77 and rising very slowly with one generator running continuously. The lake is clearing nicely even in the creeks. Surface temperature is in the early 60's with the near 80 degree temperatures. My dock is absolutely full of bluegill, bass, crappie, catfish, carp and turtles all ready to spawn. I feed them everyday and they just wait for me to get there. Catfish are biting, mushrooms are popping up, flowers and trees are blooming, purple Martins are back and life is good here at Blackburns. It is to stay very warm here until the weekend and then cool off. Not too bad though. Normal high is 69 and we should be a little lower than that. This is a good time for a visit and we will not charge you too much and your first boat stall is free. If you must pay more just stay here and donate the difference to Disabled Vets. Time to mow the grass again.
