Thye lake level is 556.09 and has dropped 1-1/2 inches in the last 24-hours with both generators running. If I could pick one level for the lake to stay it would be right here. It is perfect for launching, parking, dock access and fishing. It is sunny and the wind has finally slowed down. The grass is greening up nicely and flowers and trees are blooming. The surface temperature is still in the high 40's on the main lake and has been slow to warm up but it has not slowed the bass fishing any. Bink reports catching a lot of bass very near the bank on wiggle warts. I will show you where when you get here. I am still using the small white twister tail tipped with a minnow and the 1/4 ounce Bink's spoon. The grub is being cast to the bank for bass and the spoon in brush at about 30-feet deep near the bottom. Both bass and crappie are there. The normal ambient high is 60-degrees and and the lake is 2.75 feet higher than it was this date last year. It got up to over 565 last May but it did not affect fishing. May walleye fishing was excellent as was top-water striper.
