The lake level is exactly what it was yesterday at this time with several hours of no generation. 554.51. It raises when they quit, stays the same with one generator on and drops with both on. They are missing a good opportunity to get this level down. It is February now boys and the spring rains are coming. I hope this is not a surprise. Both the main lake and creeks are stained and are not nearly as clear as usual for this time of year. The surface temperature is 43+ degrees. I went out in the afternoon and could not catch very many fish so I switched brush piles. On the way I saw some schooled fish and dropped the spoon. They were about 40-feet down near the bottom. Caught a hybrid and a few white bass and the water started running out from under the dash of the boat. I then went in and fixed the water pressure line and went back out and started crappie fishing again. Just caught three. They are not biting very well for me now but one nice bass was caught also. I do not usually take pictures of white bass or small hybrids but that was all I could catch for my friend Gus. He was out of fish and they are better than nothing. Will try for crappie and bass again today. The weather is much warmer and cloudy and we will see what that brings. I expect more boats out there this weekend with the warm weather.
