Norfork Lake fishing and lake conditions by Scuba Steve from Blackburns Resort and Boat rental (click here for comments)

The lake level is 555.16 and rises very quickly when they quit generating like they did last night after we received almost an inch of rain. The lake has risen almost 3-inches in the last 24-hours. They had better turn them on and keep them on. It was cloudy with light wind and a temperature in high 40's when I went out yesterday. The surface temperature was 45 degrees and the lake has cleared a bit and in general is in excellent shape for fishing. I caught two nice bass very quickly and then they quit so I started crappie fishing on a good brush pile. Two big crappie were caught on the slip float and minnow right away and then they quit. Switched to the grub and caught fish until it was too dark to see. There were no other boats out there. Some of the crappie were very large and they are very healthy as are the bass. It was a nice day to be out and have the lake all to myself. Wish you were here. We will not charge you too much and your first boat stall is free.
