Norfork Lake fishing and lake conditions by Scuba Steve from Blackburns Resort and Boat rental (click here for comments)

The lake level is 555.69 and has dropped 3-1/2 inches in the last 24-hours with continuous generation. Keep them on boys. It is raining just a bit now and is to continue through tomorrow. If it stops for a while I will be out there. Everyone around here caught good fish yesterday. It was a nice cool day with little wind. Surface temperature is still about 49. This is Dave Titus' last day and he is really on the bass and has been for several days. He has been casting grubs over brush and letting them sink into them.  As reported earlier, bass fishing has been getting better for a week. I am fishing them in the afternoon and switching to crappie near sunset. I caught several very large ones yesterday and some crappie in the 15-inch range. It was very dark when I came in and they are still in my live well. I will get a picture and release them today under the dock.  Bink was on the open water fish and Tom Kelly was catching both bass and crappie. It was overall a good day for everyone. It is just good to be out there. Catching is a bonus. White bass are easily caught.
