The lake level is 553.07 and rising but they did start generating last hour after an extended period with nothing. It has come up a little less than 2-inches in the last 24-hours.  Let some out boys. Why do you keep us one big rain away from problems and then when it does rain shut off the generators? Dam management needs to be reviewed and management personnel changed. Government. The surface temperature was 55 when I went out yesterday afternoon. I waited until the wind died down and the conditions were excellent. Went to west facing banks where the wind had been blowing into and the bass were there. Bass on the bank like windy weather and that is about the only time I use a spinner bait or crank bait. Fish in 50 or 60 feet of water do not know if it is blowing or not and are just with the shad where ever they are blown or where the plankton is blown. Unless there is a front pushing through the wind usually lays after the warmest part of the day in the afternoon about 5:PM in the summer and 3:pm in the winter. No sense charging out there in a hurricane. You can predict this pretty well after you have been around here for a while. I caught several bass in the 2-2-1/2 lb. range but no big ones. The crappie were still in the 11-inch range with no big ones. There was a broken school of shad on the way back to the dock and I dropped a spoon into them hoping for a big bass or walleye. They were just white bass. Not interested. Getting dark so came in. Nice evening.
