Norfork Lake fishing and lake conditions by Scuba Steve from Blackburns Resort and Boat rental (click here for comments)

The lake level is 552.33 and inching up with no generation. It has risen about 1-1/2 inches in the last 24-hours. The main lake is clearing nicely and you can see your lure down about 7-feet depending on the color. I was heading to a crappie place when I saw some fish on the graph in about 25-ft. of water. It was about 1/2 way between Mallard Point and Cranfield Island on the south side.  I dropped a 1/2 ounce Bink's spoon on them and did catch one small striper about 7-lbs. which was too small to keep and a white bass. Was hoping for a walleye or bass. Left them and went crappie fishing. I did find some very nice ones and caught 10 with several being in the 14-15 inch range and very healthy. It was good to have the wind light for a change since last evening when both bass and crappie were caught. The morning bite is getting better now that the moon is getting smaller. The surface temperature was 63 this morning on the main lake. Waiting until the line to vote goes down and will go fishing again. Nice day today. Good fishing weather. Come on down. We will not charge you too much.
