Norfork Lake fishing and lake conditions by Scuba Steve from Blackburns Resort and Boat rental (click here for comments)

Caught yesterday on the Binks SpoonImage title

The lake level is 551.69 and stable with little generation and surface water temperature is 79 and a little warmer in the afternoons.  Our normal hight is 77 but it is to be in the mid 80's for the next week. I will keep diving and checking the water clarity every few days. It is not good now. There has been an overall decline in water clarity the last several years. I am almost exclusively spooning brush in the 25-30 ft. range and catching crappie, bass and bluegill. If you are catching bluegill there will be catfish after them. The lake is in general excellent condition for swimming, boating and fishing so come on down and take advantage of the low prices and summer-like weather. Lake traffic is low and there is peace and quiet. Fall foliage season is coming upon us and is usually peak the very last of October here on Norfork lake and the Ozark Mountain Region. We will keep you updated. Nice time of year. We have covered parking for bikers.
