Norfork Lake fishing and lake conditions by Scuba Steve from Blackburns Resort and Boat rental (click here for comments)

Caugh yesterday fishing with Bink.Image title

The lake level is 552.43 and has risen 1-inch in the last 24-hours with almost no generation. We have received 1.1 inches of rain in the last two days and everything is very green and the grass is growing fast. They received very heavy rain south of us in the Clinton area. There was a severe storm watch for our area but it did not materialize here. The creeks are stained green and main lake looks clear from the top. The surface temperature is about 84 degrees and is very comfortable for swimming. We have a week and half before the holiday and the boat traffic is very low. It is nice and peacefull out there. It has been in a pattern of getting very warm in the afternoon and clouding up and raining. There is a fog on the water most mornings now. The lake in general is in excellent condition for boating, fishing, swimming and water sports and is at a very good level. I really dislike seeing rows of small dead stripers on docks and people bragging about them. They are stocked fish and are semi put and take. They do not reproduce in the lake. Take the daily limit down to two and let them grow. Fun to catch.
