The lake level is 552.84 and has dropped 2-inches in the last 24-hours with more generation. I went diving yesterday and the visibility has not improved. The thermocline is at about 27-feet with a mud line before that and that is where most of the fish are located. It looks like the algae bloom is over and it has settled to the bottom but is not as thick as in years before. I did get a good walleye and a couple of crappie on brush at 23-feet. The visibility needs to improve a bit and should as the water cools. It was a good day for pole fishing with people catching catfish on jugs also. The lake is in excellent condition for boating and water sports. Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental still has two cabins open for Labor Day. Make your reservation before you have to pay much more elsewhere. Why pay more?
