The lake level is 553.83 and has dropped 1-inch in the last 24-hrs with about 4-hours of generation. Surface temperature is still in the 88-89 degree range and the lake is in excellent condition for fishing, boating and water sports. The weather is cloudy and the ambient temperature has cooled drastically. We need some rain. The overall fishing has held up pretty good this summer with red meat fish being the best right now. Get out early and look for fish between the 101 bridge and cow point or west of cranfield island coming up and use a top water lure. Clear spook if it is sunny and a white one if it is cloudy. When they go down vertical jig them with a Bink's spoon. Drop it right on their heads. I am still getting some very nice walleye and crappie diving. August is approaching and the children will be going to school soon so now is the time for some Norfork Lake fun with them. Come on down. We will not charge you too much. Short stays OK here.
