Norfork Lake fishing and lake conditions by Scuba Steve from Blackburns Resort and Boat rental (click here for comments)

Caught fishing with Bink yesterday. Image titleImage title

The lake level is 555.84 and stable with very little generation. Surface temperature is still about 90 and it is also stable. Creeks are stained a little but the lake overall is in excellent condition. It is very busy here and we like that. There has not been any time to go fishing but plenty of guests have gone and reported to me. Pretty much everything is biting early and late except I have had not reports on catfishing. Bink is on the stripers and is catching some good ones everyday. Mike Eakle and Tom Kelly caught some nice fish of most varieties on Blackburns Brush piles which are at a good level now.  Boating and swimming conditions could not be better and the lake was very busy for the holiday. It is back to normal now with the day use people gone. I have no need to join the crowd and like the lake peacefull like it normally is. We had dozens of tent campers calling wanting a room because it was too hot. I got all of the tent camping I wanted when I was in the Boy Scouts and military. So far we have avoided all of the storms and heavy rain that has hit other areas and have been very fortunate. Norfork Lake is the place to be now and Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental has the best prices. Why pay more?
