Norfork Lake fishing and lake conditions by Scuba Steve from Blackburns Resort and Boat rental (click here for comments)

Caught this Morning fishing with Bink's Guide service.  More too. Image title

The lake level is 557.08 and is dropping much more slowly as we approach 556.75. They have cut back to one generator. It is raining now and we received one inch here yesterday. It is very hot and humid and perfect for boating and swimming in Blackburns big pool with slide. The hot weather came early this year and the lake surface temperature is approaching 90 degrees. The thermocline is also dropping and is in the lower 20's. The lake is pretty clear down to there. Red meat fish continue to bite pretty well in the early morning but others have dropped off but that is normal. The bass are starting to bite after dark on salt craws and flourescent line and black light. Things are about normal around here, whatever that is. Good time for vacation and Blackburns will not charge you too much. Lake is in good condition and you can drive or walk to our dock, launch your boat here, get in your free boat stall and park your trailer in the ample parking lot. We have a good set up here.
