Norfork Lake fishing and lake conditions by Scuba Steve from Blackburns Resort and Boat rental (click here for comments)

We received about 2-inches of heavy rain this morning and the creeks were running hard but have slowed now. The lake level is 557.71 and is rising but they have not stopped generating like they usually do when it rains. We were very dry and a lot of it sunk in but it came fast. We needed it very badly. So far no wind. The very backs of the creeks are muddy. More may be on the way. This did not hurt anything and it looks to be dry and hot after today for a week. The temperatures have been mostly above average which is 87 for now. It should not affect fishing much which continues to be pretty good for the end of June. The best bite is very early in the morning. Bink's has been catching some big fish on his spoon and always says the hotter the better for stripers in the middle of the summer. He always uses the 1-ounce mini-shad when they go deep. Blackburns keeps live bait all year long for your convenience. Come on down and check us out. We will not charge you too much. The children will love the big pool with slide and big flat playground. Bring their bikes.
