The lake level is 559.53 and has dropped almost 6-inches in the last 24-hours. It drops faster as the bowl gets smaller. It also holds more if we get heavy rain. It is to remain hot for a couple more days and then cool a bit. This is as warm a June as I can remember. I have been doing a Norfork lake fishing report since the late 1990's when my Friend Gerry Sperry died and was asked to do so. It was the only internet report at the time. He was a very good fishing guide and told me the report does not get him any business but informs his customers as to the fishing and lake conditions and to keep in touch with them.  That is why I do it now but a resort has more total customers than a guide and this blog has many loyal followers. It takes a lot of time but I get a lot of feedback on it and am asked not to quit. Sometimes I feel I am being copied but I guess that can be a compliment.  All that is important to me is that my customers and friends know what is going on at Blackburns resort and Boat rental and the fishing and lake conditions. I do not try to get fishermant here when the fish are not biting and say they were last week. I have been here too long for that. The red meat fish are biting now as are the bass and walleye. Spooning is the best.
