The lake level is now 565.42 and still rising with very little generation. It came up 2-inches in the last 24-hours. They have cut Newport way down in discharge and also in level and is now at 17-feet. Could be much higher with no problem. They are still dropping Table Rock with heavy generation and open spillway gates and it's level is normal. Something wrong here. Really wrong. Are they saying we are not at 50% capacity? I know they changed that calculation to keep the lakes higher to keep Newport lower. Hold and hope. People caught a lot of crappie yesterday and they are on the spawning beds. Walleye are outside of buckbrush in 16-20 feet of water. Top water fish could come up at any time so be ready. Mostly in early morning at sunrise or evening. There is debris in the Pigeon Creek area and from Cranfield north. Fish in the backs of creeks for crappie, around Cranfield Island for white bass and part way back in the major creeks for top water. It is getting dry here again andd we missed a good chance to get some rain this morning. It is sunny now and we received just a light misting. No rain predicted with very warm temperatures for the next week. We normally get about 4-inches of rain in May and have received 1.81 so far. We were a little below average for April.
