Norfork Lake fishing and lake conditions by Scuba Steve from Blackburns Resort and Boat rental (click here for comments)

The Fortino group is back and caught fish as soon as they arrived. Nice fish.Image title

The lake surface temperature has now reached the low 60's. The water is clearing and the level is pretty stable with no rain for several days and we are getting dry here again. They missed a good chance to drop the lake. The big flathead catfish have moved part way back into the creeks and can be caught on live bait. Pole and line, jugs and trotlines are all working. This bite will just last a short time so this is time. Flatheads are the last to spawn and feed heavily this time of year. The blue and channel will move in soon but will go further back in the creeks especially after the bluegill spawn. Things are changing fast now.  Stay tuned.
