The lake Norfork lake chamber bass tournament was successful yesterday with 50 boats entered but only 25 boats weighed in and only 11.26 lbs won. I thought it would be more as several guests at the resort caught a lot of fish. There were a lot of boats in the back of Blackburns creek all day. The lake level is still rising and is at 560.62 and it is raining and the creeks are starting to run. Still no generation here but they are running Table Rock. The level at Newport has dropped to 16-ft. and they could be generating if they wanted to. Looks like they are heading to that magic number of 14-feet that nobody knows where it came from. I wish the person managing the dam was an elected office. The same water that approached 60 yesterday had dropped to 57+ today. Blackburns is packed with people taking advantage of the low Cabin and boat rental prices along with the free boat stall with your cabins. They really like the big covered porches on these rainy days. We do not allow smoking in the cabins but we do on the porches.
