The lake level is 559.58 and stable with one generator running continuously. More rain is on the way tomorrow night and they are missing out on a good chance to drop the lake. They are going to want to plant rice and soybeans in the delta soon and generation will slow way down. With spring rains not even started yet there needs to be some foresight in dam management and a review of rules. The minimum flow took away 1.75 feet of lake capacity for the put and take trout and this did not help. Again all about the money. Fishing was good yesterday with a lot of people catching a lot of fish. The Evetts family from Raymondville, Mo. are here and went north near Udall.  Jackson and Stetson found a clear creek and caught a lot of nice bass. All were full of eggs and were released. They were using swim baits. Welcome Evetts. Bink took out guests from Vancouver and they caught over 100 fish and had a great time. Scuba steve caught a bucket full of big crappie and relocated them to the trophy pond. They also were full of eggs. It is busy here at Blackburns with people taking advantage of our low prices on cabins, boat rentals and free stall for their boat. If you are staying at a place where you are nearly the only customer you are paying too much. We have no duplexes and all cabins have covered porches. This and spawn time are good times to practice catch and release.
