Norfork Lake fishing and lake conditions by Scuba Steve from Blackburns Resort and Boat rental (click here for comments)

The lake has risen about 7-inches in the last 24-hours. The level is now 554.27 and they started one generator last afternoon at 4:PM and it is still on. Finally. The creeks are running, but not very fast and we received just over 2-inches of rain. It was dry so a lot of it sunk in. It really greened up the grass and lots of trees and flowers are blooming. It is to be rainy for most days except Friday but not a lot is expected and you should not get rained out fishing for very long. It is also to be cool  during the day and cold again at night with lows in the 30's on clear nights. Our normal high is 63 but we will be hard pressed to reach that this week and early next week. Spring is slow coming and so is the water temperature. Fishing is the same and not the best. You can catch some but have to work for them. A lot of people are pounding the bank for bass and not getting very many. A few are there though but the water is still too cold. I am still spooning brush at 25-ft and catching bass and crappie and not much else. Bink is catching some walleye.
