The lake is still rising and is now at 556.15 with more rain to come next weekend. This would be a good time to generate heavily and keep it here. Watch out for some debris. This is a good level but at 560 problems with accessibility begin. Reports that the fish are in a frenzy and jumping into the boat are exaggerated. There are two bites now. One is very early AM before sunrise for two hours on top water on main lake points and the other is grubbing for smallmouth bass during the day and evening. Gravengoeds are back and catching fish on live bait. They are good fishermen and we are always glad to have them. They get up early and fish hard. Others are having mixed results. It was a beautiful day yesterday and today. A little wind and hot tomorrow. This water level should bring walleye around the Islands soon.
