The lake level is 554.09 and has risen 6-inches in the last 24-hours with no generation and 2.2 inches of rain. The Creeks are still running but the runoff is now cleared up. The backs of the creeks are stained brown. The White River at Newport is 4.30 feet and still low indicating not much water is being released and Bryant Creek at Tecumseh is 5.97 feet and rising. Norfork will continue to rise until they start generating or Bryant drops to 4-feet for a while. We are now above the top of the power pool of 553.75 and the Corps Of Engineers are controlling the generation schedule. The surface water temperature is back down to 76-degrees and the lake remains in good condition and at a good level for boating, fishing and swimming. Catfish including Flatheads are biting as are Bass and some smaller Stripers. This is a perfect time to visit Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental for a family vacation or fishing trip.
