Norfork Lake Conditions and Frequently Asked Questions

The lake level is 557 and is exactly where I like It. Brush piles are at good levels and have fish on them. The surface temperature is in the low 70's and could be 65 for better fishing. They are still dropping the lake 3-inches a day which is easier now with the lower level. Fall foliage is changing and is on pace for a late October peak. Yes Blackburns dock is in excellent condition and we have the full parking lot, all roads back and launching is at a very good level. We are fortunate to have two launch areas where other people do not have any and you have to go elsewhere to launch your boat. That makes it rough on single fishermen. You can launch your boat here and go about 50-feet to your free boat stall and step on the dock. Get your stick baits, spoons and top water lures packed up and come on down. My grub stays on permantly. Blackburns Creek was full of shad last evening. We still have free boat stalls, no extra charge for trolling motors on pontoons and all cabins are individual with covered porches and no duplexes. Weather is to warm up to near 80 again later this week. If you are staying at a place where you are nearly the only customer you are paying too much but that is ok if you have too much money. We are on winter rates.
