Norfork Lake Condition and Fishing Report by Scuba Steve from Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental (click here for comment)

The lake level is 564.66 and is dropping an average of 2-1/2 inches per day with generation about 3/4ths the time. They are holding the White River art Newport to 12-feet religiously despite the very dry conditions. They have had all summer to drop the lake but have refused to do so but they see fit to drop Table Rock to below the power pool to protect Branson. Anytime the government is involved the corruption begins.  It is all about the money. The lake is clearing a bit but is still stained green. The surface temperature is in the mid 80's and has been pretty stable lately. We are to get a couple of inches of rain on Friday due to the hurricane but should be able to take that easily with the dry conditions.  It just depends on how fast we get it. It should be mostly gone by the weekend. Striper fishing is not the best right now but walleye, bass and bluegill fishing is pretty good. Blackburns has a couple of cabins available for this weekend but will be very busy again for the holiday. Come on dow. We will not charge you too much.
