The Wilfongs and Tinnins are catching some nice ones off Blackburns Dock. They always do. We are always glad to see them.

The lake level is 552.43 and is down 1/2 inch in the last 24-hours with part of one generator running for 7-hours. We received 1/2 inch of badly needed rain. The level is normal for this time of year. The surface water temperature is 77-degrees and the water clarity is good for fishing and diving. Kentucky Bass and Crappie are the best bite with Kentucky Bass being everywhere near brush on main lake points. A few Largemouth are with them. Some Crappie are moving to the brush but not the big schools. Catfish are biting off Blackburns Dock on the bottom with live bait. Temperate Bass (red meat fish)  are on shad and hard to catch. If you are an open water fisherman find the shad and drop a spoon in them. Use a jig or jig and minnow for the Bass and Crappie or a1/4 ounch Bink's Spoon dropped near or in the brush. Minnows on a slip float are also working. Fishermen are catching some good ones everyday and is improving. November looks to be very good.  The weather looks great for the next week and it is a perfect time for a fishing trip to Norfork Lake and Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental. Compare prices and come on down. We fish here at Blackburns and will help you when you get here. The fall foliage is changing but is mostly brown. It should get better and be peak in about 2-1/2 weeks. It is beautiful here but the colors are not spectacular. Blackburns continues to have the best resort with the best prices in the Ozarks. You can launch and part right here and step right on the dock. No Mountain Goats needed. We are closest to Mountain Home, dining and shopping and good fishing. The $ you save here will go a long way towards off-setting high gas prices. Give Debbie a call at 870-492-5115.
