Norfork lake Fishing Report by Scuba Steve from Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental.

6/7/2026

The lake level is 556.02 and has risen 3/4 inch in the last 24-hours with 2-hours of running one generator. We are creeping up to the top of the power pool of 556.75. It drops to 555.75 on the 15th and they should try and hold it there. It is to rain this afternoon and tonight. The White River at Newport is 4.09 and very low. There is plenty of room to drop the lake. The surface water temperature is in the mid 80's and 81 just above the thermocline which is at 19-feet. The visibility is from 5-7 feet there. Walleye, Crappie and Bass are just at or above the thermocline on windblown main lake points in front of brush piles. Drop a small spoon. Catfish are part way back in the creeks and feeding at night on live Bluegill. For an article on how to catch Norfork Lake Catfish go to www.norfork.com and you will know. Some small Stripers, Bass and White Bass are part way back in the creek on shad. The top-water bite is slowing and may not last very long but there is one most early mornings just before sunrise and again in the evening. They can come up anytime on cloudy days. Keep a top-water lure on a stiff rod handy. Norfork Lake Walleye fishing is really improving. Overall the lake is in excellent condition and at a good level for boating, fishing and swimming. Blackburns Resort and Boat Rental is also in good condition and continues to have the best resort with the best prices on both cabins and boat rentals in the Ozarks. Scuba Steve will show you where his brush piles are located when you get here. Call Debbie at 870-492-5115 and join the fun. It is nice here and the price is right. This is a good time for a fishing trip or family vacation.
