Image titleImage titleImage titleImage titleImage titleThe lake level is 552.25 and is dropping very slowly with one generator running for about 4-hours in the morning and then again for 3-hours in the evening. It is 1-1/2 feet below the top of the power pool of 553.75 and there is no effort to draw down the level for the winter. The White River at Newport is 4.82 feet. Surface water temperature is 57-degrees.  We received 5-inches of rain for the month in November which is about normal. November is our raniest month. The water color is stained just a little green and you can see your lure down about 4-5 feet in the sunshine but is a good color for fishing. Fish are either in open water on shad, on main lake brush or near the shore depending on the time of day. Find broken schools of shad in open water 40-45 down at various depths of water. They are shallower in the early morning and the bite is better then but not good anytime. You have to look long and hard for feeding fish and then they are gone again. Some nice fish are on main lake brush in anywhere from 18-35 feet of water near the bottom during the day and then they come up shallow to feed just before dark but are not in schools and scattered. Work the bank for bass and crappie at sunset until dark with soft plastics and jigs and small spoons for brush fish. Fishing overall is just fair but some nice ones are being caught everyday.  The lake overall is in excellent condition and at a good level.
